Lighthouse Moves!

Lighthouse Futures Trust, a specialist college for 16 to 25 year olds with autism, neurodiversity and learning disabilities has moved to their new home at Carlton House on Alma Road in Headingley. Along with their college rooms in White Rose House, the charity now has improved facilities for the 70 students they are currently working with.

Lighthouse support young people with the aim of getting them into paid employment by following pupil-led programmes around workplace readiness, independent living and development of English and Maths. Students spend a year working in industry, with a Job Coach and employer work buddy, before being further coached through interviewing and successfully finding employment in a role they're interested in.

If you'd like to visit the college, we're open to booking in tours via emailing info@lighthousefuturestrust.org.uk, or sign up for our next Open Event on Tuesday 12th November 2024 here
