Since I moved to Headingley 7 years ago I have enjoyed discovering the many benefits of living in such a vibrant yet leafy area. We have such a lot of green space close to where we live, yet we are also within walking distance of the many venues in Headingley centre. When we first moved here I was amazed that the loudest sounds at night were the tawny owls hunting down our road!
I am a myofascial release therapist working from my home clinic room in Headingley. Myofascial release is a hands-on therapy that works with the connective tissue in the body to release restrictions that can contribute to chronic pain conditions.
I discovered myofascial release when I left my stressful office job to retrain as a massage therapist and experienced the power of myofascial release for myself. That was 14 years ago and since then I have trained with leading experts in the USA, Europe and UK and even written a couple of self-help books* based on myofascial release. I now also train other therapists in this amazing technique.
In my spare time I enjoy connecting with our local neighbourhood groups (like NHPNA and WRAG), walking and cycling with our tiny dog (who has his own bike carrier) and taking in some of the many bands and films at local venues (HPPH and Brudenell, and also HEART).
